In essence...

Earth is dominated by certain commodities, like oil, and a luxury, edible body soap made from the planet's anthropomorphic population's dead bodies, with consent.

The developer of this soap is the ram Jolie Ecochard; he had been working in the small essential oil industry as a child with his parents and had always been very interested in two very important things: world hunger, and world cleanliness. Thus he emancipated, attended university early, studied, and developed this edible, usable soap under his self-titled scietific organization called Jolie Ecochard World's Foundation, or JEWF. However, the slightly controversial key 'ingredients' are the harvested tissues of Earth's mammalian citizens, alive or dead; obviously, the ethical option is to harvest when consenting individuals die. In this, Jolie solved world hunger and cleanliness.

So LUDO Industries, JEWF's political and economic rival, launched a secret project back in 2024 to switch the dimensions and get rid of the world where Jolie Ecochard invented Mindenki Testszappan; LUDO relied on their military monopoly before Jolie's foundation became the food monopoly and wars became much less frequent (with none happening at all since JEWF developed MT, because world hunger and cleanliness were solved). LUDO wanted to take back the warring world, and to do so they began developing a way to revert Earth to how it used to be by replacing this dimension of Earth with another in which Mindenki Testszappan was never created. This project was deemed Project REVERT.

LUDO’s dimensional program is based on quantum harmonic resonance— the idea that Earth’s physical constants (gravity, electromagnetism, etc.) can be mirrored to match a near-identical parallel Earth and swap positions.

ENTER PROLOGUE: WINSTON ERGASHEV

Winston Ergashev: a young dog whose older foster brother recently “donated” his body to the Jolie Ecochard World's Foundation- meaning yellow trucks came and took him away after he died of cardiac arrest in his bed. The money from his processing helped the family through the winter.

At school about half a year after his brother died, Winston won a national junior chemical minds competition by reverse-engineering the more basic makeup of Mindenki Testszappan. The government, impressed, offers him a position at a summer camp for rich brats and geniuses called "Post-Life Technologies Youth Fellowship” where children are groomed for jobs in death management, extraction, and reconstitution/reconstruction.

Through this program, Winston gets the resources to develop a new consumable testszappan, not unlike the existing Mindenki Testszappan- but, unbeknownst to Winston, it's more addictive.

The appeal to an addictive monopoly on food for the new president of JEWF (Jolie himself retired years ago and died peacefully, becoming soap that was sold to the wealthy for incredibly large sums of money) is money; the new president is pretty corrupt as presidents go, and figured she can benefit financially from exploiting the countries that rely on Mindenki Testszappan. In any case, Winston formulates the compound that makes this new MT the most desirable; he just doesn't realize the effect it will have, because it was originally intended for the elderly and those with eating disorders (to make the soap more palatable, easy to eat, and to encourage its consumers to want to eat it).

Winston attends a meeting with the camp and some higher-ups, and gets accused of plagiarizing old Jolie notes. Winston, under pressure, freaks out and bites one of his peers. He gets escorted out and fitted with a muzzle the next day, temporarily, before it’s 'decreed' (to him only) that he won’t be attending the camp any longer. He gets sent back home to Uzbekistan.

His mother is glad that he’s back and is ambivalent about the act of violence (she was an offender in her youth and bit a few people). Also, while Winston was gone, his father died in a mining accident. Winston came back from camp just in time to go to the funeral, which he of course attends, and cries a lot. After this, his mother falls ill and sends Winston to live with a family friend, Béla Bánhegyi (a ferret), and his daughters Panna and Cili. Béla’s father was a chef before the farmers went on strike and never came back, and before the agriculture industry crashed in favour of Mindenki Testszappan. After all, MT is cheap, frequently given for free, and nutritious. Most of it even has a pleasant taste.

While staying at Béla’s, Winston gets a letter from LUDO, which is based in South Korea. Apparently, they've heard from various sources about Winston's work for JEWF, and wants to pay him to work for them instead; they have no idea Winston is no longer attending the 'camp' with JEWF. They're making a great big deal of it, but the overall point is that LUDO wants to sign a contract with Winston so he’ll work on a project they're calling "Project TREVER". It’ll get Winston a hefty sum of money and he agrees to LUDO’s proposition, hoping he can use the money to pay for his mother’s treatment.

Given the news, Béla tells Winston he and his daughters will move to South Korea with Winston to support him- he is still young and Béla worries Winston’s mother wouldn’t allow her son to live on his own in a foreign country.

So Winston, Béla, Panna, and Cili move to South Korea. Their housing is provided by LUDO Industries, given they pay a little out-of-pocket for a larger living situation that will fit the extra three people.

Thus Winston’s work at LUDO begins. He is equipped with a lab and its contents, granted he works with his now-mentor Kim Min-Seok. at LUDO Industries, Winston formulates a new compound- a water additive that adds a pleasant flavour, desirability, and strengthens the body in its ability to fight off disease and heal wounds, tenfold. However, its most important property is its connection to LUDO's "Project TREVER". This water additive, when ingested, enters the bloodstream and makes the individual dimensionally transient.

LUDO commends Winston for doing what they couldn’t and invites him to the launch of this additive alongside the LUDO president, Gun Röser. The launch goes great, and Winston and the president toast the audience with water with the additive. They’re the first to drink it.

Winston starts to feel weird, meanwhile, LUDO industries quickly begins making advances with the additive. Also meanwhile, Panna begins to believe she’ll only be useful post-mortem, and decides to sell herself off early to JEWF.

Winston, who had grown pretty close with Panna and Cili in the time he was living with Béla, now realizes he needs to sabotage Panna’s shipping-off in order to prevent her euthanizing and processing. He isn’t oblivious to his own inventions, of course, so he drinks a lot of water-diluted additive to make his odds better, and takes some additive from the lab for himself.

Winston and Béla follow Panna’s plane to Germany where the head euthanasia center is- everything stems from that location and eventually goes to other minor establishments to be processed. Winston tries to get into the center without being noticed but eventually guns come out and he loses the muzzle and bites. Béla is shot nearly dead, but Winston briefly abandons his ‘mission’ to save Béla and get him to a regional hospital. This hiccup in the plan causes them to lose Panna to euthanasia.

Soon, Winston is arrested by German authorities, but they begrudgingly return him to LUDO hands, where he’s studied. Eventually, the water additive kills him.

After Winston’s death, LUDO withdraws all of the substance from the semi-public. It was never supposed to be lethal- it was only supposed to lower one’s ‘dimensional opacity’, so LUDO scientists continue working.

Soon, however, Gun Röser dies of dimensional poisoning from drinking the additive every day in an attempt to become invulnerable to inter-dimensional threats.

PRESENT DAY

Miksa Pók is a Bengal from an auto-crusher junkyard in Csepel, Budapest, Hungary, and may very well be the first mammalian on Earth that hates eating Mindenki Testszappan.

After a surprise school medical exam, which inevitably includes a blood test, Miksa's results come back strange. They're sent to higher-ups with concerns, and it turns out Miksa's blood contains a medium-to-high concentration of the water additive developed by LUDO Industries years ago. LUDO itself catches wind of this and sends a few officials to Hungary to talk with Miksa about how this happened- A.K.A. seize him and take him to LUDO's primary establishment in South Korea for testing. Meanwhile, JEWF hears of Miksa as well so their president, Daniel Currie, sends someone after Miksa, too.

When a LUDO official knocks on Miksa’s trailer door, he slashes the official’s face with a glass shard and runs.

Meanwhile, just days after JEWF and LUDO hear of Miksa, a new, unaffiliated party hears about the skirmish the officials are trying to keep under wraps. This party, consisting of two Doberman siblings Gyuri and Vanilla Batka, gets to Miksa first. They tell Miksa why they think LUDO and JEWF are after him, but not before saying that if he runs from them, they’ll kill him (with their LUDO-lifted interdimensional railgun).

Gyuri and Vanilla tell Miksa about the additive- its origins with Winston and how it killed him and the former LUDO president, and how LUDO plans to use it soon. They also brief Miksa a little on Project REVERT and dimensional science, but they don’t tell him how they know this.

The Dobermans take Miksa to their ‘hideout’ on the ninth floor of an apartment complex- a small flat outfitted with a great deal of scientifc equipment Miksa has never seen before. All of it is stolen, and most of it is dimensional science equipment.
